The mosaic of the zodiac that was found within Kibbutz Haftziva was created during the Byzantine period (324-638) by Marianos and Hanina (father and son). Remains were found in 1928, and today the site is seen as evidence of the existence of Jewish life for hundreds of years following the destruction of the Second Temple.
