This replica is a piece from a larger mosaic and it contains a bird standing above a vase surrounded by grape medallions.
The original mosaic was revealed at Ma’ale Adumim in the ruins of the Monastery of Martyrius that was established in the fifth century -The Byzantine Period.
The monastery is located near the Jericho to Jerusalem road and in it contains the largest mosaic floor in israel.
